|Duties:|| Install hardware, systems, and software for networks.|
Install, configure, and maintain network services, equipment and devices.
Manages all system back-up and restore protocol.
Plans and supports network and computing infrastructure.
Documents network problems and resolution for future reference.
Monitors network system performance and implements performance tuning.
Requires a thorough knowledge of networking essentials.
Oversee software and network security.
Strong analytical abilities and professional office experience needed.

Systems: Windows, Cisco Systems, UNIX, Linux,
Networking experience with Hubs, Servers, Cables, Racks, Firewalls, TCP/IP, DNS, Latency, VoIP, QoS
Cisco Routers and routing protocols EIGRP, OSPF, BGP and mutual route redistribution, HSRP, WAN media types T1, PRI, ISDN, ATM, PPP, MPLS
Cisco LAN Switches and switching protocols VTP, ISL, 802.1q, 802.3ad, STP, PVST, Rapid-PVST
Cisco Pix/ASA firewalls with ACLs, NAT, SSL and IPSec VPN tunnels
Understanding of disaster recovery implementations
A good understanding of information security concepts
Ability to lead technical discussions and projects in an organized manner
Ability to drive problem resolution to root cause
Ability to document strategies and designs and present to these ideas to management with cost/benefit analysis
Must be able to manage time effectively and to deliver on commitments
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Must be able to operate well in a team environment and as an individual contributor when under pressure and with little or no supervision if necessary
Credentials and Experience:
Demonstrable level of competence including:
- A thorough understanding of the OSI network model, Ethernet, and TCP/IP networking
- A practical level of experience implementing and administrating common TCP/IP services, including DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SSH, SMTP, etc.
- Working knowledge of common network monitoring and security utilities
- Troubleshooting focused on determining hardware vs. software, hardware vs. firmware, software vs. operating system, network vs. application/systems, and patterned vs. non-repeatable problems
3+ years of network administration mandatory
Certifications:, Current CCNA or CCNP strongly preferred
Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar.
May require travel between corporate offices (Cary NC, Vancouver BC and Newark CA) occasionally
Must be legally eligible for employment in the United States - company is not able to provide sponsorship at this time
Must posses a valid passport with ability to travel in both the USA and Canada
